About Rizwana Jasani

My name is Rizwana Jasani, born and brought up in India. While growing up I have always been a family-oriented person. I'm blessed with two kids; my son Salman 28 and daughter Sara 25. I never have free time; after doing my professional responsibilities I use the rest of the time to do my daily activities which involves spending quality time with kids while being productive and accomplishing our daily goals. This may range from cleaning the house, going on a family walk or run, taking our cherished dogs to the park, or going to watch a movie in theaters and cooking a family meal at home. I enjoy shopping at Ross and sometimes window shopping as well. I came to the USA empty pockets. I have flourished into where I'm today with Bachelors in Commerce from India and taking vocational classes on accounting, computers and ESL from HCC. Coming this far has been a huge accomplishment of mine and I appreciate the support of my friends and family. Growing up I have always learned to give back to the community, so I'm an active volunteer of Ismaili Community Volunteering program and love to serve the financial aspect, along with emotionally supporting other women who are struggling in day to day lives. Giving them guidance in how to improve their lives; it allows for me to feel confident in my personal development in aiding the community. I love being a working woman; it allows me to break the social norms of women's expectations and keep me on my feet. I love being able to take upon challenges and allowing myself to grow physically, mentally and emotionally. Progressing from my position to next level is very important for me, for it portrays the role that I am doing at my job right and feels as a great reward not only to myself, but my family and coworkers as well.
