Established by George Meyer Sr. in 1955, Meyerland was one of the first deed-restricted communities in the city of Houston. Conveniently located just southwest of the 610 loop, Meyerland is located 10 miles from downtown Houston, 3 miles from the Galleria, and 4 miles from the Houston Medical Center.
 
Originally Rice fields, Meyerland now boasts mature trees, lush landscaping, and 1950s /1960s ranch-style homes. Combined with its highly-ranked schools and a strong sense of community, this all culminates in a neighborhood full of charm.
 
While many of the area homes have been renovated and updated, there are numerous homes that have been razed, with newer and larger homes being built in their place. Home prices in Meyerland range from $400K-$1MM+.
